Meet The Beasts (contact details below) was founded by Dr Stuart Wood who, as a youngster, spent too much time staring at beautiful creatures through glass when he would loved to have touched them.

Having kept a wide range of reptiles (snakes & lizards) and minibeasts (spiders, scorpions, snails, insects & millipedes) for many years, Stuart brings his beasts to schools and businesses, enabling people of all ages to touch, feel and handle these fascinating creatures: up-close; in-person; without the glass. Looking becomes a tactile experience!

Stuart is passionate about the positive benefits of encountering these beautiful creatures in the flesh. He has enabled many people to overcome serious fears so that they can be confident to step-out and try something new. Meet The Beasts is also a powerful, effective & different ice-breaker activity for meetings & team building.

Having worked in Corporate Business for 18 years he understands the importance of effective teams & how these can be disabled through the fears and lack of confidence in team members. Meet The Beasts is a powerful adjunct to existing training programmes, allowing people to conquer their fears in a safe, relaxed atmosphere. [Matthew Wood - Meet The Beasts] Matthew, Stuart's son, helps with the running some of the events in schools.

Matthew has grown up sharing his bedroom with many of the beasts we take out on visits & brings his own experience to Meet The Beasts.

He is also excellent at keeping the animals in order!
